Jonathan Birtwell

Director, Head, Trading & Portfolio Implementation PanAgora Asset Management

Jon is responsible for leading PanAgora’s Trading and Implementation team. The team is charged with the systematic construction and execution of PanAgora’s investment strategies. The group, in conjunction with the firm’s Portfolio Managers, works to implement investment ideas in a timely and efficient fashion, as well as to ensure adherence to each portfolio’s specified objectives. Mr. Birtwell is a member of the firm’s Directors, TIPC (Trading & Investment Practices), Operational Risk, and Valuation Committees. Previously at PanAgora, Jon managed a team of six individuals responsible for the construction of equity portfolios, and prior to that served as a trader. Prior to working at PanAgora, He was a Portfolio Manager at both Natixis Asset Management and Rafferty Asset Management. In these roles, he researched, managed and traded both systematic global macro and equity portfolios, and engaged in client-facing duties.
