Raymond Wong

Senior Vice President, Head of Business Development, EMEA HKEX

Raymond serves as the Head of EMEA Business Development representing HKEX in the region. He is responsible for setting up and launching HKEX’s London Office, overseeing the business development and relationship management of EMEA-based banks, brokers, listed structured product issuers, asset managers and asset owners, partnering with this important group of clients to optimise their interaction with HKEX.

He actively promotes and educates clients on equities, fixed income products, and clearing solutions covering listed derivatives, Stock Connect and OTC Clear. He plays an integral role in developing enhancements to HKEX’s current range of products, while also maintaining a broad strategic focus on the ongoing developments of Stock Connect and the market microstructure in Hong Kong’s cash equities and derivatives markets.

Prior to joining HKEX in January 2016, Raymond was a Sales Trader and served as an Equity Derivatives Broker covering Asia Ex-Japan. His experience covers business development, relationship management, cash equity sales trading, derivatives trading, structured products, trading / clearing infrastructure, and trading systems.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Southampton University, UK.
