Global Head of Trading Polar Capital

Alex is the Global Head of Trading at Polar Capital, a specialist investment-led, active fund manager. Since Polar’s foundation in 2001, it has grown steadily and currently has 15 autonomous investment teams managing specialist, active and capacity constrained portfolios, with combined AUM of £20.9bn. Alex joined Polar, in December 2019, to establish a centralised trading desk offering execution services to the investment teams for the first time. Alex has both buy-side and sell-side experience, having previously worked at hedge fund Highbridge Capital Management and broker Knight Capital.
