Christophe Morel

Christophe Morel is currently chief economist at Groupama Asset Management, which is the asset management branch of Groupama, a French leading insurance company. He began his professional career in 1998 as an economist at the French ministry of Economy and Finance, in charge of the banking and insurance sectors. In 2000, he joined Ostrum Asset Management as a global strategist. In 2004, he became head of the Asset Allocation department at the French Reserve Pension Fund (FRR). In 2006, he was appointed head of Tactical Allocation at Ostrum Asset Management before joining Lombard Odier Investment Managers in 2008, where he was deputy CIO of the Asset Allocation group. Christophe Morel holds a PhD in Finance from the University of Paris IX-Dauphine, and is the author of numerous academic papers and books in Finance.
