As Senior Policy Advisor on Market Structure for the European Principal Traders Association (FIA EPTA), Lara Shevchenko leads advocacy on market structure topics for Europe’s primary industry body for independent market making firms.

Working closely with FIA EPTA’s members and other market participants, she represents FIA EPTA towards public stakeholders in the EU and UK. She is an experienced regulatory lawyer and market structure expert who has been working on various aspects of European markets and infrastructure regulation for over 15 years.

Prior to joining FIA EPTA in 2022, Lara worked for a US investment bank, most recently as head of European equities market structure, and prior to that at a Magic Circle law firm.
