Owain brings twenty years of deep experience in both traditional high frequency trading and the application of HFT research and technology to crypto. In 2019, he co-founded Mercury Trading, a crypto HFT firm that is one of the larger providers of centralised liquidity. Prior to this, he was head of Electronic Market Making technology for JP Morgan, and built and ran the highly successful Automated Market Making technology group at Morgan Stanley. Owain was one of the first programmers on what was, and remains, the dominant listed options market maker at Citadel Investment Group.
