Head of European Retail Trading Optiver

Sjors Kole joined Optiver in 2020 as a European ETF and index futures trader. In 2023, he transitioned from on-screen market making to providing bilateral liquidity in single stocks to institutional counterparties. Since 2025, he has focused on building the trading desk that offers liquidity in single stocks and ETFs to retail counterparties. Sjors holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Operations Research from Delft University of Technology, where he specialized in Partial Differential Equations and Optimization during his Master's studies.
