At TradeTech Europe, we spoke to Merlin Rajah, Head of Equities Electronic Product at Absa, to see why they continue to sponsor.
Merlin: We have sponsored TradeTech Europe before and returned as is a great mix of buy side, sell side, vendors, high-frequency trading firms, and hedge funds. It also gives us the opportunity to talk & meet with clients, potential clients, and get our brand out there to the European audience and beyond.
Merlin: Our booth location has been great for the breakouts and networking lunch. Being across from the food really helps with foot traffic and lets us start that conversation easily.
The sessions have been useful, giving us insight into what firms are prioritising and where they’re investing. It’s always interesting to come to TradeTech and see what others are doing, what they’ve done, and how they’ve transitioned over the years.
Merlin: Without a doubt, I’ve already met with potential clients, and existing clients, solidifying those relationships. We’ve already organised eight follow-ups meetings for next week.
Merlin: You always want to be front and centre in this industry, and TradeTech does that. TradeTech has been effective and seamless and we will absolutely be here next year.
